The Yadkin Valley Wellness Foundation, established in July 2025 through a $30 million donation from Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, is dedicated to improving health and well-being across the Yadkin Valley region.
We’re engaging our community in defining what wellness truly means — and how we can achieve it, together. Our first grants will be announced following a collaborative visioning and planning process in 2026.
About the Yadkin Valley Wellness Foundation
Building a Healthier Future Together
The Yadkin Valley Wellness Foundation was created on July 1, 2025, through the affiliation of Hugh Chatham Health and Atrium Wake Forest Baptist, supported by a $30 million donation from Atrium Health.
Our mission is to strengthen the health and wellness of the Yadkin Valley community through:
- Supporting health care needs and access for all residents
- Promoting preventative health and education
- Improving the quality, delivery, and affordability of care
- Providing assistance to those unable to pay for health services
The Foundation is currently leading a community visioning and strategic planning process to shape its future direction. Grantmaking will begin in late 2026, following the completion of this plan.
